Dear Mr. Smith

I recently walk to a nearby Wal-Mart in search of a good inexpensive beverage container and I came across your products. Usually I like to purchase from the same manufacture, so when I saw your product I decided to go ahead and purchase the beverage container.  Considering that I have always bought your brand, I felt very happy buying the product. However the inexpensive beverage container, which buy the way was $8.95, is going to cost me almost four times more because it has ruined my white $35 tablecloth. I put grape drink in it and this beverage container has a serious leak.

We decided on buying inexpensive beverage containers for a family gathering because we knew that the event was going to be in my back yard. Also with the amount of money that we have spent on the tablecloth, we didn’t have enough money to buy more expensive beverage containers. We bought several but one of them damage on my white table cloth. I personally feel that your company is being carless when it comes to inspecting your final product. There were many people in my party and I was glad that none of my guest’s cloth was ruined nor stained with the drink.

For the rest of my party I had to get one of the good beverage containers and share it with several of my guess. Definitely this was something that I didn’t want to do. But considering that I was short one container I was forced to do it. To make matters worse I went back to the store where I bought the product, and the store manager gave me a 1 800 number to call. I grab my cell phone and called the customer service number but unfortunately the phone operator couldn’t assist me any better than the store manager. So clearly you can see that I have a problem with your company, till this day your company fails to meet my customer satisfaction.

I would like to think that your company still honors there customer satisfaction guarantee and would appreciate it if you can refund my money or replace my broken beverage container.

Yours truly,

Simon Bolivar

HALLOWEEN IS HERE ARE YOU READY?

Ok so it’s October and one of my favorite holidays is just around the corner. Halloween is a holiday that most kids in America love to celebrate. All the children start looking for the scariest most gruesome costumes, but why not dress up of something more spiritual and less scary. My 8 year old nephew who by the way goes to catholic school decided to dress up as Saint Patrick. I decided to help him out  by making a MITRE hat; some people call it a bishop hat. In order to construct the hat I needed to get all the required material. I went to the store and picked up 1 green piece of construction paper. Also I picked up some gold color paper, glue, scissors, and ruler. Pencil, scotch tape and red and blue plastic gems. The procedure is very easy; I began by measuring my nephews head. His head is about 21 inches in circumference. With the measurements then I grab the green color construction paper, get my ruler and measure 21 inches from left to right on the top and the bottom of the paper. Carefully cut with the scissors, once we have the paper cut we need to fold the construction paper in half. When we open it we will have 2 equal sides, one side will be the front of the hat and the other will be the back. We then get are ruler and measure 17 inches in length from bottom to top and we make a pencil mark. With are French curve ruler we will measure from the edge of the construction paper to the tip of the top of the paper. We do the say thing to the other side of the paper. When you measure from the edge of the construction,  to the top of the paper mark the shape of the hat will take in  affect do to the French curve ruler. We do the same thing for both sides, make sure that when you cut you try to have precision and stay as close to the line as possible. When we finish cutting both sides then we are ready to get are gold color paper and start to measure 1 ½ inch wide strips, about 5 of them and also 4 to 5 strips ½ inch wide. These gold color strips will be pasted at the edges of the hat, bottom and in the middle of the hat. It will represent gold around the hat. We put glue and paste it all around the edges, bottom and in the middle of the hat. After the glue has settled I get a thumb tack and gently start to puncture a small hole on the bottom and on the middle of the hat were I have glued the gold 1 ½ inch strips. After I have made my holes I insert the red color gems accordingly, the gems are just to make the hat look expensive and real. I then get my blue color gems and paste it with glue between the red color gems. I then grab my ruler place it across my hat any gently start to past crosses on each side of the hat. The crosses are about ½ inch in width; the ruler helps me paste the cross evenly. We let it all dry for a few minutes, once it is nicely dried, I put scotch tape on one edge of the hat. Very gently fold the hat and make sure that the edges tape evenly. After we unite the two half are project is done.

THE BATTLE OF THE BAY WITH A TREMBLE.

It was October of the year 1989, as I was getting ready to start watching the battle of the bay; I unexpectedly felt my body shake UN controllably. It was approximately 5:05 pm, when the earth trembled. At first I thought it was my nerves, considering that in just a few minutes my baseball team was about to start game 3 of the World Series. But to my surprise I was experiencing a big earthquake. Living in California for quite some time know everyone knew what to do when there’s an earthquake. In school we had earthquake drills and in the back of our heads we knew that someday we would experience a big one. Earthquakes have been around for many years. But what is exactly an earthquake? As a personal experience it feels like the earth is turning into a wave back and forth. For many people that don’t know the feeling of an earthquake, it’s very hard to explain. There’s a start a middle and an end. Depending how you see it. Sometimes the end seems endless, because there can be hundreds of aftershocks. The first wave is a trembling sound kind of similar to a train passing by, but without the sound of the train’s horn. Basically the earth moves very rapidly, in most cases it only last for a few seconds but those seconds feel like long minutes. As you are trying to take cover , depending were it gets you, things start to fall , walls start to  crack, concrete falls from some buildings , car alarms start sounding off uncontrollable and in some cases water pipes break and the electricity is lost. Many times the vicious movement of the earth causes all these reactions.  When I experienced the big one in San Francisco I was about 12 years old. Like I mention earlier I was sitting on my couch ready to see the 1989 World Series. The beginning was a mega thumping sound roaring from the ground. Vicious movements from left to right, I got my kid sister and we through are self’s under the kitchen table. My mother was in the kitchen numb trying to hold the kitchen cabinets close, but she was not successful. Almost everything started to fall and break, after the 15 seconds that felt like minutes the earth stopped shaking.
